Requiem for a Dream of mine!

When I was a kid I used to dream that one fine day I will make my parents proud and give them everything that they deserve and even more! But as I grew up I didn’t made that effort which can make my childhood dreams come true! In other words I can say I was out of the track. 

Today when gals n guys of my age are making their parents proud and giving all that what I wanted to give my parents but couldn’t I feel ashamed of me! I do not worth such nice parents at all! 

Why god you gave my parents a child like me who is incapable of giving them the happiness they deserve.
I know parents never expect anything from us and they do everything because of their love towards us but isn’t it our duty to make them feel proud of us!

Please God help me to make my parents happy and proud by giving me one chance!!! I pray to you from the core of my heart if you want to punish me for all my wrong deeds then just do punish me! Not my parents!!!

“Visa on Arrival” Program – An Initiative to Enhance Tourism in India

India is a vast country packed with diversified cultures, traditions, religions and beautiful landscapes with a great historical value. All these and much more has made India one of the most adorable and lovable countries around the world.

But few factors are there that has made the tourists to rethink while choosing India as their holiday destination. And one of the most evidenced factors is the tough visa policy that has deteriorated the tourism in the country. According to a survey it is observed that in the year 2012, the number of tourists to India was 6.58 million which is comparatively lesser than that of the other Asian countries like Thailand and Malaysia.

After observing such a great deterioration in the tourism growth rate, the honourable Prime minister of India, Narendra Modi has initiated a unique appeal with an initiative called “Visa on Arrival” through which prospective travellers can apply a visa for at least 4 days before arrival and then it can be extended up to a month. For that applicants will have to submit a photo, copy of their passport and a fee of $60 online and once the visa gets approved they will receive “electronic travel authorization” automated email which they need to take a print out and show it while arrival along with their passports.

Currently 9 international airports are authorized with this service and they are Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Goa airports. And this arrival program is valid of nationals of 43 countries but until now only 12 countries have this permission including the United States of America, Japan and Germany.

With this idea the tourists can enjoy the diverse culture in New Delhi, a spa retreat in Kerala, a trip to one of the seven wonders of the world i.e. Taj Mahal in Agra, a visit to the tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh, a peaceful week at the beaches of Goa and Odisha, expedition to the caves of Ajanta and Ellora, visit to the famous waterfronts of Varanasi, Colaba causeway in Mumbai, climbing up hill stations of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, a dive into the step wells of Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Hope this idea works and lets the world explore the incredible India!

Hold the Broom to Groom India into a Clean and Hygienic Country!

Imagine one fine day when you woke up and come out of your house to inhale some fresh air to begin your day with nature’s innocence but when you come out you find dirty plastics and other garbage in front of your gate smelling like hell! What would be your reaction? Of course it would not be good feeling at all!

So what would be your next step? Will you go and start cleaning the garbage off? Or ignore it and wait for someone else to clean it? Or simply blame the municipality corporation? And I know most of us will choose either the second or third option! And a very few will opt the first option!

Cleanliness is not merely a duty of a particular person or community! It’s the duty of every single person! If we will keep on blaming each other then we will reach nowhere! So stop blaming and accusing others and start doing itself! And see the effect.

Indian prime minister honorable Mr. Narendra Modi has initialized a movement known as “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” which means “A Clean India Mission” where he is encouraging people to give importance to cleanliness. But is it only his encouragement and efforts will bring any change? No! Effort from each and every individual of India is necessary to make this effort a successful venture!

Once Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation said “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.” He visualized cleanliness as a clean mind, clean body and a clean surrounding! So we can say it is the dream of Bapu that our PM is trying to fulfill i.e. getting a clean and hygienic India free from all diseases and impurities.

So let us join our hands together and turn Bapu’s dream true. Let’s start with cleaning our homes and surroundings first and get a clean locality and gradually we will achieve a clean city. And clean cities will lead to a clean state and hence a clean country.

Oh Sun! Have Mercy on Us!

What has happened today to my lovely city Bhubaneswar? Why the temperature rising up high day by day?

Few years back Bhubaneswar was known for two things one as temple city and another for its awesome climate and greenery. The sanctity of this city attracted a lot of people towards it and made it the most popular city of Odisha (previously acknowledged as Orissa) and made me feel proud as I am born and brought up in this amazing city.

But today it seems the Sun God has cursed my land. And it can be easily understood from the heat that has made the people of this city sweaty and tired. Yes today the way the heat is rising up in Bhubaneswar has made it one of the most hottest cities in India. And because of that various water resources have also vanished up! It’s just beginning of May and the temperature is touching 40 degrees Celsius and more! And the thought of the later days scares me day and night! What would happen if the temperature reaches 50 degrees Celsius?

I remember I used to stand under a huge tree waiting for my college bus to arrive; it saved me from the sun and rain. Then one day in the name of development and modernization the government cut that savior tree. And this way in the name of development and planning many trees were cut down and many hearts including mine cried a lot. How scary and hurting moment was that, many birds lost their house, we lost our sheds and that horrifying memory is unforgettable.

Now we all must take an initiative to make this city green, clean and beautiful as it was earlier by planting trees and keeping the city clean.

So we must follow the slogan- “Each One Plant One”. And by this way we can make the Sun God happy!

Let Us make a New India – A Powerful One

India is a land of culture and traditions and we all Indians are proud to be part of such a beautiful country. Although our country is not a developed one but is developing day by day at a great pace!  The IT sector is also establishing rapidly which is helping in improving the economy of the country. Many such good things are happening in India that is making it a powerful country. All these things are the brighter part of this lavishing country.

But there is a darker side too! Yes! A dark side of India! India was under the control of the British people for around 200 years but became independent with the courage and fighting spirit of the freedom fighters. But this independence was only meant for creating history and adding them up to the books for the younger generation I guess! As still we are not independent! Today not the British ruler but our own Indians have made us slaves. How let us see below:

• It is believed that with the progress of the country there is progress of the country people but here in India the entire concept is different. Yes here rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer day by day. The honorable politicians work for the poor people only when there is some election campaign as the poor people are only meant for vote banks. It is the result of the most talked factor called corruption! What the hell is this corruption all about? It is just a way to exploit the mob of the country.

• According to the Vedas, and other spiritual and traditional books women were worshiped but again these are the bookish things not the reality. Indian women are treated as a machine today! A machine that is only meant for sacrificing her own life for others like her husband, her children, her in laws and society. If she tries to raise her voice then the society chokes her throat. If she is a working lady especially if she works in the night shifts then the society calls her characterless and puts evil eyes on them. But why?

• Children who are born to poor families are destined to be poor like their family. There is a right in the constitution of India called right to equality and right to education but once again it is a written format which is maintained just for formality. As the child born to the poor family does not get the equal opportunity as a child of his age in a economically strong background family gets. Why such discrimination in this so called democratic country?

But just talking about these problems will not bring out any solution to them. We need to take some stronger actions against them. So let us take an oath today that we will fight against every injustice made to us together. As we all know “United we stand, divided we fall”, so let’s get united and make our country free from all the social and political diseases and have a strong,powerful and a really independent country!

Dilemma of My Mind

Confusion within Brain

Whenever I faced any interview one question was compulsorily asked everywhere and that is – “Tell me about yourself”. But I was completely blank at that time and speak up all rubbish like done my studies here, there and blah blah blah… But I never got any perfect answer to that question!!! Still today I am unaware of myself. The only thing I noticed within me is “Confusion”! I really find myself confused at every stage at every situation of my life… And this is because I am not clear about what I want to achieve in my life!

For an instance when I was in a stage of deciding my career after my 12^th standard as per my childhood dreams and parents wish I joined for medical coaching but trust me the whole one year along with my parents money I just wasted like anything on movies etc. then after all that I joined engineering which I never wanted to do… But still completed it anyhow… and then went to Bangalore in search of job and still unaware of which field to choose… Then 2 years passed away then I got my current job as a part time content writer and a full time SEO specialist in a SEO firm and I am really thankful to these guys because they showed me one direction to follow but still I am confused as I am preparing for other competitive exams too! This is just one situation many more are there!!!

Will I ever get my destined job? Or will always be in such confusion? I don’t know but today I am quite happy because at least I have a path and objective which I can follow up…

God’s Beautiful Creation – “WOMAN”

Being a girl I thought of writing something on women and women power as I have realized that even after so many advancements where women walks along with men still some men think its a male dominating society. And hence they try to dominate women. And I am totally against it because this is not right.

Recently in December 2012 a case raised in India’s capital New Delhi where a girl got brutally raped and then the culprit killed her intentionally just because she was late to reach her home that day and was not finding any government transport she rode a private bus along with her guy friend!!! And when asked to the culprit he said she was wearing short dress that’s why they got intimidated!!! What kind of nonsense is this???This case came to spotlight hence everyone knows about it but similar cases happening in different small cities in India are still not recognized.

If a woman can create the world she has the power to destroy it too…The world has developed so much even India did and the best example is that the present president is a woman in India and amazingly another woman is the chief minister of New Delhi itself!!!! How shameful it is!!!

Women is not just a thing that we will get used and then thrown, we are also human beings we too have desires, needs, we too deserve the same respect that men get even more. Women plays many roles she is  a daughter, sister, a wife , and above all a mother. A world without a woman is empty as if women are not there then who is gonna give birth to you.

Here I want to mention one thing and that is Female Foeticide. Yes this is another issue to be discussed here as in this fast paced world where women is reaching the top positions in almost every field there are parents who do not want a girl child and the reason cited is a boy will take forward their generation ahead. But why they forget that to get another generation also they need a woman else can a guy ever give birth to a baby???? No right!!!

At workplaces woman is considered as a showcase!!! Why even we can work… and I can guarantee you that we can work much better than guys… And if a woman is a housewife then she is thought useless but why??? without her you cannot go to your office, you cannot have your food on your own and your kids will not get proper care without them. so why? why? and why?
